Umang Kumar Rathi

At the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), he was part of the Semi-cryo engine development project, where he oversaw budget allocation and conducted large-scale design reviews critical to the development of engine components.

Transitioning into the private sector, he worked at Future Group to implement digital transformations and e-commerce rollouts across multiple brands, later moving to Tata Digital to refine promotion engine integrations used by millions of customers. During his tenure at Digiflynt, he focused on building high-throughput e-invoicing solutions for West African governments, enhancing financial transparency and efficiency.

Subsequently, at Paytm, he managed AI-driven product features, improving search capabilities through NLP and enhancing scanning functionality for a user base exceeding 100 million.

Umang earned a B.Tech in Aerospace from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), supported by a full scholarship from ISRO. He also holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), specializing in Strategy and Finance. His academic pursuits include co-authoring a paper on space commerce, presented at the International Astronautical Congress in Israel.
