Gaurav Achha

An Electronics & Communication Engineer from SRM University, Chennai, Gaurav immersed himself in advanced research and practical experimentation. His exceptional contributions earned him a Silver Medal and a Best Project Award—achievements realized through collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, where he researched the use of wearable inertial sensors to improve tennis players’ serve efficiency. 

Gaurav’s strong passion for space systems and robotics led him to join Team SRMSAT, where he played a key role in developing a nanosatellite to track greenhouse gas compositions in Low Earth Orbit—launched by ISRO on PSLV C18. His leadership skills were further evident when he led a 12-member interdisciplinary team to an impressive 2nd place finish at the CANSAT competition – organized by the American Astronautical Society (AAS) and NASA – and 5th place the following year, positioning SRM and India prominently in the global aerospace arena.

Driven to deepen his technical knowledge, Gaurav completed a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at IIIT Bangalore, where he honed skills in Reinforcement Learning, Decision Trees, and Logistic Regression, as well as the architectural frameworks crucial to modern AI solutions. 

He then pursued an MBA at the European Business School in Germany, developing a robust understanding of Strategic & Corporate Finance and Management Consulting – skills that now underpin his strategic leadership.

Throughout his journey, Gaurav has exhibited a passion for bringing transformative ideas to life. A serial entrepreneur, he has co-founded multiple ventures, including Applied Research Development Laboratories (ARDL)—focused on nanosatellite and space subsystem education – PRECO, a print aggregating app for students and corporates, and TRACUZ, a smart backpack startup aimed at enhancing travel convenience. His global mindset, cross-border fundraising experience, power BonV Aero’s vision of becoming a world-class enterprise in VTOL and eVTOL technology.

By blending technical ingenuity, strategic thinking, and a deep-seated entrepreneurial spirit, Gaurav continues to champion innovation, sustainability, and engineering excellence – setting new benchmarks for India’s advancing role in next-generation aviation and beyond.
